DR MYLES BURFIELD

DR MYLES BURFIELD

Myles is a Specialist Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian Physiotherapy Association in 2023) with a special interest in complex injury management, rehabilitation, and running related injuries.  As a marathon runner working towards completing all 6 major marathons he is passionate about helping distance runners achieve their goals.  For more information about physiotherapy for running injuries click here

With 17 years of private practice experience and extensive involvement within elite sport Myles and his team provide expert treatment and management for all general musculoskeletal and sporting injuries.  Having previously worked within the Australian Institute of Sport, Cirque Du Soleil, and the Australian Canoe/Kayaking team (including the Rio Olympic Games in 2016, where they won Bronze) he now practices in Brisbane while teaching the next generation of Sports Physiotherapists at Australian Catholic University.

CAMPBELL ANTONIO

Campbell is an experienced Physiotherapist with a special interest in sports rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and high-performance testing/sports science. Campbell is the head Physiotehrapist for the Queenland Red’s Women’s Rubgy team, whilst undertaking further education within the elite sport and rehabilitation setting through a dual Master of High-Performance Sports and Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy.

Campbell prides himself on providing high level rehabilitation with a focus on returning to performance following injury. He is fluid in the use of VALD Performance technology and implements objective testing regularly for exercise prescription and return to sport bench marking. His strong passion for sports rehabilitation has driven him to gain experience across multiple codes of sport. He has worked in community level AFL, spent time with the Australian Women’s Rugby Union team (Wallaroos) and worked on the sideline of various codes across the Brisbane Greater Public-School (GPS) competitions.

BRIDIE NICHOLSON

Bridie is a Titled Sport and Exercise Physiotherapist, as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists, who is passionate about making modern, high-quality  physiotherapy care available to all people, not just professional athletes.

With more than 7 years of sports physio experience Bridie has worked with a variety sporting and professional teams including the Canadian Basketball team, Brisbane Roar Football Team, NHL (Ice Hockey), Ultimate Frisbee, Para-Swimming, running, boxing, powerlifting, rugby and AFL.

Alongside working in private practice, Bridie is the Head Physiotherapist for the Brisbane Roar Women’s team and a consultant for the UQ ParaSTART Paralympic development program.  She is passionate about helping developing and adolestent athletes and runs the physiotherapy services for Villanova College contact sports.
